brandon + chelsie – grand rapids, mi

You may remember Brandon + Chelsie from their Detroit engagement session last June. (And if you don’t, you should click the that link to see their rad Belle Isle engagement session!) Well, at the beginning of the month, these two said, “I do” on the other side of the state in Grand Rapids. The ceremony was held at Seymour CRC in Alger Heights and reception followed at The B.O.B. downtown. Having known these two for a long time, it was an honor to be a part of such a wonderful day and be able to celebrate right along with them! Brandon + Chelsie, I wish you guys the best as you begin this beautiful journey of marriage. Enjoy the preview! The power went out at the hotel as the girls were getting ready. No fear, natural light is the best light anyways!Love these two shots from their first look….Love this shot that Jonathan caught right before Chelsie walked down the aisle with her dad…

sarah + bryce

I have known Sarah for a while, but it was just recently that I met Bryce. Having coffee with them this summer, I got to know the two of them together and it was clear to me right away that they “get” each other. Not only are they in love, but they respect each other, enjoy each other’s company and have lots of fun together. These two have been dating for many years, and this December, they are finally tying the knot! We met up a couple weeks ago for their engagement session at Cranbrook in Bloomfield Hills. Here are a few of my favorites from our evening…

libby

These days, I’m finding that when people younger than me reach particular important milestones… it’s makes me realize two things – one, that life moves quickly and… two, I must be getting old. ;) Take Libby, for instance. I’ve known Libby for years. She’s the sister of one of my 2012 brides, who I have also known for a long time. To me, it seems like it can’t be that long ago that I was in her shoes – starting my senior year. And it also seems like she can’t possibly be a senior already! I remember when she was in elementary school! (Ok, I also realize that making those type of comments means I’m old, too.)

Nonetheless, Libby is a senior this year and that is a wonderful, exciting thing! I was thrilled when she scheduled her senior session with me! Despite the heat and mosquitoes, we had a great time together. So, blog, I’d love for you to meet the beautiful Libby. (And look for her on the blog again next summer when she stands as MOH with her big sister!)…

matt + molly – merrill, mi

There’s just something about a backyard ceremony, followed by a reception under a tent with delicious food, lots of family and friends and delicate DIY details. Matt + Molly’s wedding day was perfect. I loved the care and the thought put into the day to make this important celebration meaningful, fun and beautifully awesome.

Molly, I’m so happy I was finally able to be a part of your wedding day. I wish you and Matt the best in your marriage!!
Unfortunately, Molly’s grandfather passed away just a week before the wedding. Molly carried his handkerchief and wore one of his rings in his memory.A bouquet of broaches!! I loved this! Molly made this bouquet and she said it was her favorite detail of the whole day!Want to see more fabulous pictures off Matt + Molly? Check out their winter engagement session in downtown Grand Rapids HERE.

hailey

Ahh, senior year. Some days, it seems like just yesterday for me… other days, those times feel like ancient history. Senior year is an exciting, fearful, joyful and bittersweet time. As one chapter ends, a new one is just beginning… a chapter full of new adventures. Over the next couple weeks, I have a few senior sessions to share with you. The first is a beautiful senior from Metro Detroit named Hailey. Hailey, her momma and her best friend traveled over to the lovely lakeside town of Holland, MI for her senior session. Here are just a few favorites from our time together…
