Ann grew up in Michigan, but at the time she met Andrew, she was living in Colorado. Andrew grew up in New Jersey, but at the time he met Ann, he was working a job that kept him traveling quite a bit! They met on a ski trip to Breckenridge in Colorado, and after a few short days together (and admittedly, lots of bacon – my kind of love story), they were both smitten. Over the next few months, they kept in touch… between a couple visits on the East Coast and in Denver, they had fallen in love and began dating long distance. By nature of Andrew’s job, he was able to spend lots of time in Denver with Ann. Over the next two years, their love grew deeper and it was clear that they were meant for each other. In the fall of 2013, on a weekend trip to Colorado Springs, Andrew proposed! Ann immediately said “yes!” and soon after, she found herself a job in New Jersey where they’ve been merging their lives and planning for their Michigan wedding.

…Which brings us to this blog post ;) Their awesome wedding that they’ve been planning from a long-distance, took place just a couple weeks ago! Ann + Andrew chose to celebrate on Lake Michigan at the always-amazing Camp Blodgett! Friends + family traveled from across the U.S. and Michigan to join them. The day was absolutely wonderful! The weather was beautiful most of the day – but even a couple pop-up storms couldn’t keep these spirits down!! It was so evident that Andrew + Ann were absolutely thrilled to be getting married. Honestly, you could see it on their faces all day. The joy + happiness that exuded from them was contagious. We were so grateful to celebrate with them. Congratulations, Andrew + Ann!! :)

PS – shout out to Rachel + Tiffani from White Dress Events for their fabulous coordinating and hands-on help throughout the day and to Bryce from Party In A Box DJ for providing the jams!

We met up with Andrew + Ann early in the day. When we arrived, the guys were enjoying some beach time on Lake Michigan with guests and even threw a little birthday party for Andrew’s niece who turned one on their wedding day! Ann was upstairs in the lodge, hanging with her bridesmaids – dancing, chatting and getting their hair + makeup done. With Jonathan able to hang with Andrew and I with Ann – it really allowed the afternoon to naturally unfold and capture a lot of beautiful moments leading up to the ceremony!

The storms passed just as dinner was wrapping up… which meant we could move back outside for dancing! Yay!

The wind was starting to pick-up and the clouds were getting dark over the lake as the ceremony ended… which means we had to act fast with our the bridal party portraits! Fortunately, this group of people were so awesome – they totally rolled with it and made our job easy! :)
