These two. This day. Oh, my heart.
On this day, October was showing off a bit. The sun was shining, the sky was blue and the trees were a rainbow of autumn hues. Northern Michigan was at it’s finest, to say the least. Friends and family had gathered from across the state and country to share + celebrate together. All the careful planning and handmade details had come together. This day, was the day my sweet cousin married the love of her life – and it was a good, good day.
Kyle + Whitney wed in Cadillac, Michigan – the town where Kyle was born + raised… and where their first married home is located. The celebration took place at Fox Hill Event Center – just south of downtown. It provided a great space for an intimate, outdoor ceremony and an awesome indoor reception. But more importantly, the celebration was a beautiful representation of Kyle + Whitney – who they are as individuals and as a couple – and it was a meaningful, fun and memorable beginning to their marriage.
As a photographer, this wedding was so delightful and it was such a joy to capture this love story. As a family member, I was honored + humbled to be a part of this day. These two are absolutely wonderful together and I’m so grateful that they’ve found each other. Kyle + Whitney, I wish you two nothing but the best in this marriage adventure! Congratulations, you two!
My dear uncle had the joy of walking his daughter down the aisle, giving her away, and then officiating the marriage ceremony. Wowie.
Ok, cue the tears. Not only, did Whitney + her dad dance to “Butterfly Kisses” (yes, it gets me every time)… BUT, Whitney’s dad recorded himself singing it and compiled pictures of her growing up to show during their dance. Like I said, cue the tears! Whew!
As the night came to a close, friends + family circled around Kyle + Whitney as they shared their last wedding dance…
Can’t get enough of these two? Check out their downtown Grand Rapids engagement session from last October!
