Cody + Jessica are an amazingly wonderful couple. They met and fell in love in high school and spent their college years dating while they pursued dreams + degrees. In every sense of the way, they are meant to be together. They deeply respect + adore each other, they inspire + support each other in their endeavors and they know how to make each other laugh + have a great time. On top of that, they are genuinely kind individuals and will treat you the same whether you are a stranger or a friend. Basically, they are just really good people to have around :). I am blessed to know Cody + Jessica and it was humbling to be an eye-witness into the day they became husband + wife.
These two tied the knot last month in west Michigan. The ceremony was held at Hudsonville Reformed Church and the reception followed at Wallinwood Springs Golf Club in Jenison, Michigan. The entire day ran smoothly, no detail was left untouched and the celebration was perfect. Cody + Jessica made sure that their day was special + unique and meaningful to them + their marriage – which is SO important.
Before I share a preview, I gotta give a shout-out to my buddy, Jake who was able to fill-in as my second shooter super last minute so that Jonathan could be with his family + his sick grandma. Some of the photos below are his and I am so grateful he was able to help me out this day. Thanks, friend!
Without further adieu, I’d love to introduce you to Cody + Jessica…
Cody’s nephew was the “Candy Man” – he brought lollipops down the aisle with the message, “Here comes Uncle Cody’s girl!” on them. The flower girl, Cody’s niece, dropped dried rose petals from all the bouquets Jessica had received from Cody while they were dating! LOVE that idea!
Did I mention that twin brothers married best friends? Yep, it’s true. The best man + maid of honor wed earlier this summer and the roles were reversed with these four :)
These two individuals are VERY important people when it comes to my photo business and where I’m at today. You see, almost 6yrs ago, Ryan + Ashley asked ME to be their wedding photographer. I had never shot a wedding. I didn’t even know if I wanted to shoot weddings. But they trusted my work and had enough faith that I could do it… and well, the rest is history. I will forever be grateful for these two :)
