On a rainy Tuesday morning earlier this month, I had the joy of meeting Everett. We spent a couple hours together – just hanging out in his awesome nursery with his rad parents, Josh + Sarah. He was one week old that day and had already brought so much joy to his mom + dad (…grandparents + aunts + uncles :) ). I loved spending the morning with this little family capturing some precious moments of the beginning of this little guy’s life.

Newborn sessions are always such a delight. Typically, I suggest doing newborn sessions in the home, within the first 10 days of birth. There is excitement, nervousness and wonder that comes with a new baby. I always walk away from newborn sessions with a warm heart and a gratefulness that a family would invite me into the newness, the unknown and the joy with them. Seriously, I don’t think this job could ever get old! :)

Josh + Sarah, thank-you for allowing me to capture such a pivotal time in your lives. This new chapter is a big one and it was an honor to celebrate Everett’s birth with you! Michigan-Newborn-Photography-01
