When I was growing up, I used to hate when an adult would say to me, “Oh, look how big you’ve gotten! I remember when you were just a little kiddo…” Inevitably, the conversation would then continue with some cute or embarrassing tidbit about when I was a child. Whenever this happened, I would say to myself, “Self, when you become a grown-up… don’t have this conversation with kids.” But, inevitably, as I’ve grown-up… I find myself wanting to say the exact same statement to the “kids” in my life who I’ve seen turn into young men + women. I mean, it’s true… kids grow up! Crazy!
Where am I going with this? Well, blog-readers… I want you to meet, Hannah. Hannah is a beautiful young woman, but let me tell you… I remember when she was thiiiiis litttttle [obviously, my hand is motioning to represent a child’s height]. :) Hannah and her family came into my life during my sophomore year of high school (I did the math… that was 11 years ago – what?!). I won’t share any embarrassing stories here, but I will say that this sweet lady and her family hold a dear place in my heart. I’ve spent many, many hours with them at their house, at church, etc. It’s hard-to-believe that Hannah has already embarked on her last year of high school, but it was a joy to celebrate this time of life with her. This girl has truly grown into an amazing woman and I can’t wait to see where the next few months + years take her. Enjoy a few of my favorites from her session!
