Today, I experienced the first snow of the season! The rain clung tightly all morning long until the afternoon when the temperature fell just right and the raindrops turned to big, fluffy snowflakes. I giggled with glee, danced around the office a little bit, and then grabbed my camera to capture some video + images. It made the afternoon just a little magical. Maybe I’ll share a few pictures of that later… but for now, I have a wedding to share with you! Yay! (and yes, two blog posts in one day – that’s what a rainy/snowy day (+ red bull) will do for your editing ;)).
Remember THESE TWO from earlier this summer?? Well, they tied the knot in September and I have the distinct honor of [finally] sharing their wedding story with you!
Phil + Lorie became husband + wife on a warm, sunny Saturday afternoon in Holland, Michigan. The ceremony was held at Lorie’s childhood church – Harlem Reformed. A crowd full of dear friends + family gathered as they publicly committed their lives to each other. To celebrate, they headed south to Saugatuck to The Ravines, where everyone enjoyed a cozy fall dinner and danced the night away. It was a perfect celebration – full of laughter, joy, excitement + gratitude.
Phil + Lorie, THANK-YOU for allowing me to come alongside your story + celebrate your first day of marriage with you. It was an honor + a privilege to spend the day with you + your loved ones and I cannot wait to see where your marriage adventure takes you from here. Congratulations, my friends!
Phil + Lorie opted to do a first look – which is hugely beneficial in the fall + winter months when the days are short! This allowed us to do almost all of the portraits beforehand – and we had beautiful blue skies + sunshine before the rain rolled in later that afternoon!
