Where do I even begin with this post? I have been excited for this wedding since I sat down with Tarah in February. As we sat in that coffee shop, her love for her fiance and her ideas for their wedding were just bubbling out of her! Tarah is the sister of one of my 2009 brides, Jessica. I loved getting to know Tarah and her family at her sister’s wedding… and I was thrilled when she booked me for her July wedding!

These two have spent the last seven months intricately putting together all the details for this day… though Tarah has been anticipating this beautiful day for years. As a vintage lover, many of the antiques and treasures that Tarah has bought through the years made up the decor for the day. Even her dress was an antique purchase from years ago that her Grandma altered for Tarah! For the ceremony Tayor and Tarah wanted to marry under the great oak tree on his grandparents property, but Tarah still wanted to have the feel of walking down the aisle as in a church. So, with the help of family, friends and some old barn wood from down the road, they constructed a barn facade complete with white double doors. The reception took place less than 200 yards away – a picnic in the grandparent’s backyard – with antique plates, yard games and fresh lemonade included. No detail was overlooked for this wedding – Tarah even made the guys ties to perfectly match the pendants and colors of the day!

Yet despite the AMAZING details of the wedding, what made this wedding truly perfect was the relationships that tied the day together. It was evident that this day was about Taylor and Tarah’s love for each other, their beautiful love for God and their respect and affection for their families. This day was about a young couple finally saying, “I do” after six years of dating and committing forever to each other.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about this wedding. What color pink is this? Even better where can I find those dresses? HELP! :)

    • hey Holly! I’m not sure exactly what color pink this is, but the girls got their dresses at Target last summer! I actually own the same one in black! :) Who says you have to pick out the “typical” bridesmaid dress? Good luck on your searching!
