It is with a happy heart, a joyful spirit and tear-filled eyes that I write this post.

I have three brothers whom I love equally; however, because of our nearness in age, it comes with no surprise that I am closest to my younger brother, Christopher. Growing up we spent most of our time together and even through high school years, shared some of the same friends. He is full of life, humor, wisdom and love. When he transferred schools and moved to Spokane, Washington in the fall of 2009, it was so difficult to watch leave (a post from the day he left – on the old blog). In our hearts, though, we all knew that this journey to the Pacific Northwest would be a wonderful, exciting opportunity for him. Within that first year, he met a beautiful girl named, Korena. Over the next months, we spent many hours skyping with the two of them and getting to know this gem of a lady. When she came home to Michigan with him this past November, we knew this girl would be sticking around for a while.

Fast forward to today. I am SO happy and SO excited to share that as of this afternoon, he asked… and she said “yes” to spend forever with him. My little brother is ENGAGED (that was weird to type!)… making him the last one in our family to be married. I could not be more thrilled to have Kori as my new sister and to once again add another member to this growing family.

Christopher, I love you to pieces. What a blessing it is to call you brother and one of my best friends.
And Kori, WELCOME to this crazy family. I’m overjoyed to now call you, sister! I can’t wait to give you both a big hug when I see you next!!
