After first thought, I’m typically not one for surprises. Don’t get me wrong, I love planning surprises and taking part in surprises for other people, but when it comes to myself, I just like to know what is going on. Events, gifts, whatever… it kills me if I don’t know what’s happening or can’t guess! However, more often than not, surprises tend to be really wonderful. Like, a couple weeks ago… I had a FABULOUS surprise. As I was quickly finishing up the portraits for this wedding, an on-looker snuck up behind me. This on-looker was a woman named, Tina – a dear friend who resides in Virginia. She was in Michigan for the weekend helping her friend, the florist, at this Friday evening wedding. What??? She didn’t know I was the photographer, I didn’t know she was assisting the florist… Crazy! Needless to say, I was very ok with this surprise!
This said wedding was a gorgeous winter celebration in Plymouth, MI. Arden & Kristi are so perfectly in love and truly wonderful and fun individuals. They said their vows in a beautiful ceremony officiated by Kristi’s grandpa and dad. Afterwards, they danced the night away among friends and family in the ever amazing Inn at St. John’s. Oh, and the florist? Her name is Laurel… didn’t she do an amazing job? Contact me for her info ;)
