Today, we are thrilled to share James + Lauren’s wedding story with you. These two are some of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet… and it has been a joy to get to know them through their engagement.
After 7 years of dating, James + Lauren were delighted to get married in an intimate outdoor ceremony on the water at Bay Pointe Country Club. (Hear more about their meet-cute + relationship HERE) Only their nearest + dearest were planning to attend. However, the night before their wedding, the forecast was looking grim. Storms were likely later in the day, which meant their hope for an outdoor ceremony and lots of outdoor portraits was in jeopardy. They couldn’t change the time of the ceremony last minute, so, they opted to do a last minute switch of the schedule, start getting ready a little earlier, and get all their portraits in ahead of time… and hope that the ceremony would be ok! Well, their intuition/the forecast was correct! We were able to get beautiful outdoor, sunny portraits and their ceremony stayed outdoors overlooking the lake – but once the reception started, so did the rain!
James + Lauren didn’t let the hiccups ruin their celebration… they stayed flexible + kept positive attitudes the entire time. The most important thing to them was getting married… and that made it the best. day. ever. Cheers, you two!!
