This week’s ‘Wedding Wednesday’ post is coming a day early… and a day late :) It was a double wedding weekend this past weekend – which means I have twice the amount of blog posts to share this week! And, I’ll start with Friday…

Friday afternoon, we left our apartment in Grand Rapids and drove over the river to the Goei Center – a former furniture factory that now is an awesome urban event space. There, amongst the bustle of details and bridesmaids, was Sandra. She was beaming and had to have been the most excited that I have seen her in the past few weeks. The wedding day was finally here!

It’s hard to put words this wedding. I’ve known Sandra for a few years and seeing her and Kyle finally say “I do” was a beautiful, beautiful thing to witness. Their ceremony was emotional, sacred and intentional… and their celebration was so rad that after Jonathan and I put our cameras down, we hung out for a while enjoying the party.

Without further adieu, Kyle + Sandra’s Grand Rapids wedding…

Apparently, Kyle + Sandra learned early on that “maybe” often means “yes” in their relationship… :)

I loved that Kyle + Sandra chose non-traditional outfits for their bridal party. There’s nothing wrong with switching it up a bit, folks! The bridesmaids dresses were purchased from The Limited and the groomsmen’s outfits were from Express and the guys’ shoes were from TOMS:

Kyle + Sandra opted for a “First Look” – this means, they chose to see each other before the ceremony. This allowed us plenty of extra time for portraits of the couple, the bridal party and their families… and, the guests didn’t have to wait a long time in between the ceremony and reception! Everybody wins :)

A local band called “Pleasure Towne” entertained the guests for the evening. They have to be THE BEST cover band I have ever heard!
