on being three

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I can’t believe 2011 has come and gone and we are already halfway through January of 2012!! I am thankful for a few “quieter” holiday weeks filled to the brim with family and friends. The brief blog hiatus was simply because I was spending lots of time doing life… but don’t worry, I have LOTS to share with you… A few weddings, some engagement sessions, even some cute little kiddos! So, stay tuned!

Over the course of the next couple months specifically, I’m going to be sharing with you some of the beautiful families I’ve had the joy of capturing this past season. The wedding schedule was a bit too crazy to blog the family sessions as they came, but I have some fun ones to share – starting tonight!

I recently had the opportunity to hang out with a sweet little girl named Grace and her momma. We spent the morning making cocoa, playing with her dollhouse, going for a walk, twirling around and laughing. A typical children’s session and a typical day as a three-year-old… perfect.

As I observed Grace, I couldn’t help but be absolutely enthralled by her spirit and spunk. Her eyes sparkled as she offered me a cup of “cocoa” that she made and her laugh delightfully lit up the room. She kept her momma and I on her toes and we ran around together, but I loved every minute of it. Thanks for a wonderful morning, Grace. Three-years-old suits you well :)
