It’s no secret that I’ve been waiting for this past weekend for a long time. I’ve been planning and scheduling and chatting with brides about this summer for months and like my brides, I couldn’t wait for the weddings to get here! Sure, this summer willl keep me busy busy busy with shooting, editing, shooting, editing and shooting some more… but the joy that I find in being able to share in others’ stories keeps me going!
While my 2011 wedding schedule technically began in February with Arden + Kristi’s winter celebration, the official season began this past weekend with Pat + Steph’s downtown Detroit wedding. (Take a look back at their Grand Rapids engagement session HERE).
The venue for the ceremony and reception was the almost 200-year-old Historic First Congregational Church in Detroit, MI. On a beautiful spring day, in the sight of dear family and friends, Patrick & Stephanie finally tied the knot! It is evident in the way he looks at her, at the way she smiles when he is near and they way they tenderly or hilariously interact with each other… Patrick and Stephanie were made for one another. Each of them perfectly compliments the other and it was truly an honor to be a part of this beautiful union.
